Boston College picked up the win Saturday afternoon against UT Arlington, as after yielding 11 runs the day prior, the Eagles got out of several jams and was able to grab their third win of the season.

BC got their run production from two separate innings, with Cam Caraher and John Collins striking back-to-back RBI doubles that put the Eagles up 2-0 in the fifth. Parker Landwehr then struck an RBI double in the seventh that scored Adam Magpoc which made it a three-run cushion for BC.

Though, they didn’t exactly need a cushion. A.J. Colarusso lasted 5 2/3 innings on the mound working out of several jams, and after Colarusso let up a walk in the sixth, he was taken out by Tyler Mudd. Mudd then went on to pitch 3 1/3 scoreless innings to secure the victory, as after two innings of quick work in the seventh and eighth he would load the bases with nobody out in the ninth — only for him to retire the side with a pair of strikeouts and a game-ending popup to get out of it.

Colarusso served up six hits and a walk while striking out six, and Mudd struck out four, lett up three hits and a walk.

BC finishes the weekend set tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET, with Michael Farinelli on the mound for the Eagles.
